Jurasin Oil & Gas, Inc. was founded in 1987 by its President and CEO, John M. Jurasin in Metairie, Louisiana. The company relocated its principle offices to Houston in 2005.

Jurasin has grown to an oil and gas exploration and production company with a full complement of geology, geophysics, engineering, land, accounting and administrative staff with each professional having over 30 years experience.

For over 20 years, Jurasin Oil & Gas, Inc. has designed, operated or been a participant in multiple 3-D Seismic Surveys, oil and gas exploration and development programs, and other energy projects; being able to boast an almost 70% success rate in drilling projects that have led to new discoveries containing over 250 billion cubic feet of gas and 10 million barrels of oil.

Rather than probing untested frontiers, Jurasin’s philosophy is to focus its efforts on the lower-risk re-development and exploitation of existing Oil fields ranging from South Louisiana to the federal waters off-shore Texas: Bringing lost, missed or forgotten reserves back on line and contributing to our nation’s goal of energy security.

With current projects which may contain (net to Jurasin interest) as much as 200 billion cubic feet of gas and 50 million barrels of oil in proved or probable reserves, Jurasin is well-positioned to move forward in bringing new life to old fields.
